Esta é uma tinta vermelha escura, muito saturada, de cor intensa. É uma cor semelhante a sangue seco e faz lembrar veludo vermelho, como o seu nome sugere. Apresenta um fluxo muito bom e é bem comportada sobre o papel. Não alastra ao longo das fibras mas fica um pouco visível na outra face da folha.

This is a dark red ink, very saturated, with strong color. It is a color close to dry blood and reminds red velvet, as it name suggests. It has a very good low and is well behaved on paper. There is no feathering along paper fibers but there is some bleed through.

Tem uma secagem rápida. Não é resistente à água.

It is fast drying. It is not water resistant.

Quando comparada com outras tintas - Parker Quink Red (Parker Sonnet - M) e Montblanc Bordeaux (Rotring Core - XS) percebe-se que é verdadeiramente um vermelho muito escuro, não sendo, no entanto, bordeaux.

When compared with other inks tintas - Parker Quink Red (Parker Sonnet - M) and Montblanc Bordeaux (Rotring Core - XS) it is visible it is really a very dark red, but not, however, burgundy.
