Com a tradição egípia a determiner Thoth como o inventor da escrita, bem como sendo o escriba do submundo, Thotgh era universalmente venerado pelos escribas do Antigo Egipto. Tal como muitos Cristãos mantinham imagens de Cristo ou de santos, também estes artesãos egípcios colocavam uma pintura ou outra representação de Thoth no seu local de trabalho. O íbis, associado a Thoth, tornou-se um dos símbolos da actividade.

With Egyptian lore determining that Thoth was the inventor of writing, as well as the scribe of the underworld, Thoth was universally worshipped by ancient Egyptian scribes. As many Christians kept icons of Jesus or of saints, so did many of these artisans in Egypt place a painting or a picture of Thoth in their workplace. The ibis, associated with Thoth, became one of the symbols for craft.

Nesta colecção os pormenores gravados recriam a atmosfera das paredes fortemente ornamentadas de uma sala de trono egípcia. Produzida em celuloide “Charcoal Black (Preto Carvão)”, contrasta com os elementos em prata ou em ouro de 18 quilates. Esta caneta apresenta uma cabeça de íbis no topo da tampa, fundindo-se com o clip. A base da tampa é rodeada por hieróglifos.

In this collection, the burnished laser-cut engravings combining top recreate the atmosphere of highly-adorned walls in an Egyptian throne room. Realised in Charcoal Black celluloid, with contrasting elements in either and Sterling Silver or 18k Gold trim, the Thoth pen bears the god's ibis head on the top of the cap, segueing into a pocket clip. Hieroglyphics encircle the bottom of the cap.

Na extremidade do corpo existe o símbolo de Thoth, uma íbis estilizada, com gravações de uma das placas esmeralda de Thoth, que se acredita terem sido escritas na antiga linguagem da Atlântida. A íbis surge também no aparo de ouro de 18 quilates desta caneta de enchimento por pistão.

On the bottom of the barrel is the symbol of Thoth, a stylised ibis, while the barrel is engraved with the inscriptions of one of Thoth’s emerald tablets, believed to be written in the ancient language of Atlantis. Thoth’s ibis symbol also appears on the 18K gold nib of this beautiful piston-fed fountain pen.
